Ibiza Town

If there is one word to describe Ibiza, it is cosmopolitan. People come from all over to party here. They feel right at home on this island where the people are very friendly and accommodating.

Ibiza Town is the capital of this island. Naturally, this is where everything happens in Ibiza. You’ll find the best clubs, bars and café’s here. You’ll also find D’Alt Vila here, which is a UNESCO world heritage site.

The clubs of Ibiza Town are what placed Ibiza on the map of tourism and Ibiza town has the best places to go dancing in. Whether you just want to mingle and party or just have a drink or two, there is always a club perfect for your mood. Check out Pacha, El Divino, or DC10 if you really want to go clubbing.

If you are simply on the trail of beer, the best way to walk is down to the port. You’ll be mingling with the locals here and getting the true Spanish ambiance. Just remember one word – cerveza.

The bars usually don’t open until midnight but that doesn’t mean you’ll be bored until they do. There are terraces for pre-party fun and drinks while you wait for your chosen spot to come to life. Usually the bars are packed by 2am.

There are many great places to eat in Ibiza. The city has a great variety of places to eat so even the pickiest eaters will have full tummies. If you can’t decide where to eat, try the food at Beda La Scala, Alfredo’s or El Faro. If you want a place with an older feel to it, check out La Oliva.

Do take the time to soak up some history while you are here. The Archeological Museum and Puig des Molins necropolis are both great places to go to experience the past.

You won’t be able to enjoy all of Ibiza Town in a day. Great places to stay here are the Hotel El Corso, Hotel Argos, Hotel Royal Plaza and the Hotel Los Molinas which are all rates as 4 star hotels. Hotel Playa Real is a good alternative and is rated at 3 stars.
