1.Where is Ibiza located?

2. How do you get to Ibiza?

Ibiza is accessible by boat and by plane. In fact is a two hour flight to Ibiza from any of the main cities of Europe, which makes it a favorite spot for Europeans to mix and mingle.

3. How big is Ibiza?

Ibiza isn’t that big a place. It measures 45 km in length and has a width of 25 km. It has a permanent population of about 100,000 but the number increases sharply as the summer months approach.

4. Is accommodation available year round?

Most of the hotels and other accommodations are generally available during the summer. Most places begin accepting reservations beginning in May. They usually stay open up to October or November. Only a few establishments will stay open during the leaner months of winter.

5. Where can I make reservations?

You can make reservations any number of ways. You can call the hotel directly but this may be expensive since you will be calling long distance. Quite a number of the hotels have online systems for reservation. You can use that instead. You can also try inquiring by email of their reservations office.

If the hotel of your choice is part of a chain, check with the local hotel of that same chain. They may be able to assist you.

One of the best options is to work with a travel agent. A travel agent will make sure that all the arrangements for your trip is in order before you leave. They may even have special rates because they get special discounts since they normally book many rooms during a season.

6. What is the cancellation policy?

Most hotels require that you cancel your reservation 24, 48 or 72 hours prior to 12 noon of the date you reserved. Doing so early means you can often cancel without penalty. Canceling a reservation with special requests though often has a penalty even if you cancel a week before. The cancellation fee is strictly enforced especially during peak season.
